Annual salary – GDST Grade 3: £26,443-£29,896 pro rata
We are looking for an ICT Support Technician with experience and an interest in all aspects of information technology to join our ICT Support Team as soon as possible.
The role will involve providing technical advice in support of the resolution of ICT incidents, working closely with the ICT team to ensure escalated issues are resolved. You will help to implement ICT systems, documenting the setup and configuration of these systems and ensuring operating procedures are in place. You will also help develop proactive procedures to ensure the smooth running of ICT systems, monitoring and maintaining these systems and undertaking action to ensure consistent delivery of ICT services.
In addition, you will provide advice and guidance on the use of ICT systems, ensure ICT documentation is kept up to date and ensure robust data backup systems are in place. You will assist in the selection, testing and acquisition of computer hardware, software and third-party application packages. You will also act as the first point of contact for reprographic problem solving and ink cartridge and toner replacement.
Essential qualifications - GCSE in English (grade 4/C and above) and Maths (grade 4/C and above). Good communication skills, sound IT skills as well as customer service and administration skills are all important.
